Architectural Review Emerging Architecture awards

Arena Berlin Nov 15th - 17th 2017

The Architectural Review Emerging Architecture awards winners revealed

Avenier Cornejo has been announced as the winner of the AR’s Emerging Architecture awards 2017 along with two Highly Commended projects: the Fort Vechten Waterline Museum by Studio Anne Holtrop and José Luis Muñoz’ Casa de Los Vientos.

Launched in 1999, the AR Emerging Architecture awards grant early recognition to young designers and celebrate the architectural stars of tomorrow. Previous winners have included Shigeru Ban, Anna Heringer, Thomas Heatherwick, Jürgen Mayer H and Frida Escobedo. While the AR can take no credit for their individual talents, the award galvanised the success of these architects by promoting them on a global stage.

For the second year, all finalists present their projects in front of a world-renowned panel. In 2017, the 14 finalists have travelled to Berlin and presented their work to our judges Marina Tabassum, Martyn Hook and Matthias Sauerbruch during the 10th annual World Architecture Festival.
